My name is Jacquilyn Marie Cota but you can call me Jackie! If you haven't already guessed. I grew up in the Philadelphia area. Enough about my name though… Pearl Carter's name comes from personal experiences in my life. Carter Street you see is the little dirt road that I live on. It is beside the Shallotte river in North Carolina. It's here where I found love, compassion, myself and God. It's not often you find all of that in one place! Being from Philly, I never pictured myself living in a small town like this when I was growing up. I also didn't forsee selling seashells by the seashore as my actual occupation either but, here I am! Hehehe  Oh it's also where I found the inspiration for Pearl Carter. So like the song says “find something you love and call it work” What are pearls usually discovered in? If you guessed oyster shells that is correct, and Carter Street is slam full of them! So when you place your order that is exactly where your shells come from.
